The Beatles Trade One Huge Album For Another

The Beatles can almost always be found on the music charts in their home country. It’s not unusual to see the Fab Four take up space on several lists in the United Kingdom, where they remain hometown heroes. The band’s performance on the weekly rankings this time around is slightly odd, though.

This week, The Beatles fill just one space on two charts. They claimed the same number of positions on the same tallies last time around, only with a different project. The rockers trade one release for another, as consumption from fans across the country changed slightly in the past tracking frame.

1967-1970, which is otherwise known as the Blue Album, is back on multiple rankings in the U.K. The set returns highest on the Official Albums Streaming chart, where it reappears at No. 51. The project inserts itself onto the main albums roster once more, only 10 spaces lower.

Last week, The Beatles appeared on both of those tallies, and in not-too-dissimilar positions, either. Their bestselling compilation 1 was holding court just a few days ago, living between Nos. 50 and 55 on the two rankings, but now it’s gone.
