The Beatles released their final album, Let It Be, nearly 55 years ago. In the decades since, the group’s music has been recycled into countless compilations, and much of their output has been reissued in various forms. Those special drops almost always inspire fans to pick up a copy—perhaps for the second or third time—and often times, expanded, deluxe, live, and other editions of past material often perform well.
One of The Beatles’ earliest albums is back on the charts in America. Meet The Beatles! returns to one list, and it even manages to debut on one other Billboard tally it’s never appeared on before.
Meet The Beatles! launches on the Vinyl Albums ranking, as it’s finally become a bestseller on the once-nearly-extinct format. The set doesn’t only reach that 25-spot chart, it brings the band back to the top 10.
The Beatles debut Meet The Beatles! at No. 9 on the Vinyl Albums ranking this week. It earns the group their fourteenth top 10 on the wax-specific list, and they’ve now sent 18 different releases to the complete roster.
Meet The Beatles! marks the band’s first new hit on the Vinyl Albums chart in 2024, though last year was a very busy one for the rockers. In 2023, the foursome earned three new placements on the tally, as a trio of compilations—The Beatles 1962-1966 (No. 17), The Beatles 1967-1970 (No. 11), and The Beatles 1962-1970 (No. 13)—debuted.
The Beatles claim the sixth-loftiest debut on the Vinyl Albums list this week, and Meet The Beatles! is one of 13 arrivals on the list. That’s a large sum, considering the ranking features just 25 spaces, so more than half of those slots are owned by new launches this time around. The Fab Four land behind the Wicked soundtrack (No. 1), The Philly Specials (No. 2), Zach Bryan (No. 3), Marilyn Manson (No. 6), and The Smashing Pumpkins (No. 8).
